This ten-part package introduces beginners to biomedical and healthcare CFD simulation using ANSYS Fluent, covering blood flow through diseased arteries, inhaled drug delivery to the lungs, airborne transmission of respiratory viruses across everyday environments, and microfluidic droplet generation — building steadily from core cardiovascular flow concepts to more complex multiphase and particle-tracking applications.

This report details a nanoparticle simulation conducted using ANSYS Fluent The simulation geometry consists of a rectangular cuboid created in SpaceClaim . Meshing was performed in ANSYS Meshing, resulting in a grid of 151,294 triangular cells Discrete Phase Model (DPM) activated, Flow and turbulence equations deactivated

The study conducts a CFD analysis of aortic valve displacement using ANSYS Workbench. The geometry is designed in SpaceClaim based on CT-scan data, with a mesh of 67,926 fluid elements and 627,914 solid elements. The simulation uses a pressure-based transient solver with a laminar flow model. System coupling between Transient Structural and Fluent enables analysis of valve leaflet movement and blood flow interaction. Results show pressure gradients, velocity patterns, wall shear stress distribution, and valve leaflet deformation.
Arterial Stent CFD Simulation, ANSYS Fluent
Beginner, Intermediate
Price: $72
The problem numerically simulates Arterial Stent using ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 3-D model by the Spaceclaim software. We Mesh the model by ANSYS Meshing software, and the element number equals 220,000 and 250,000 for the Stenosis and stented artery respectively . We use a UDF to define pulsatile blood flow. The Eulerian multiphase model was enabled to distinguish between the blood and arterial wall interfaces.
Monte Carlo Radiation, CT Scan CFD Simulation
Intermediate, Advanced
Price: $48
The problem numerically simulates Computerized Tomography (CT) Scan using ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 3-D model with the Design Modeler software. We mesh the model with ANSYS Meshing software, and the element number equals 4390045. We use the Monte Carlo (MC) Radiation Model to define radiation heat transfer.
Fluidized Bed Bio-Reactor ANSYS Fluent Training
Intermediate, Advanced
Price: $64
The problem numerically simulates the fluidized bed bio-reactor using ANSYS Fluent software. The geometry is designed in a 2D model with the ANSYS Design Modeler software. We performed the structured mesh of the model with ANSYS Meshing software, and the element number equals 26,289. The Eulerian model was used to simulate the multiphase behavior of the solution. The project is solved in transient state.

The problem numerically simulates the Microfluidic Droplet Generator using ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 2-D model by the Design Modeler software. We mesh the model with ANSYS Meshing software, and the element number equals 10,441. We perform this simulation as unsteady (Transient). The multiphase VOF model is used to model the phases of water and oil. Surface tension modeling along wall adhesion is enabled.

The geometry is designed in Design Modeler & meshed in ANSYS Meshing software. One of the patients suffering from respiratory disease. It is one of our goals to prevent it from dispersion. The one-way discrete Phase Model (DPM) is used to model aerosols. An acceptable thermal comfort is our other concern in this project which is controlled by PPD & PMV factors.
Inhaler Asthma Spray, CFD Simulation ANSYS Fluent Tutorial
Beginner, Intermediate
Price: $20
The problem numerically simulates the Inhaler Asthma Spray using ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 3-D model by the Design Modeler software. We mesh the model with ANSYS Meshing software, and the element number equals 752277. We use the discrete phase model (DPM) to define a Spray process.
