Virus dispersion in classrooms: CFD simulation comparing AC and chilled beam ventilation
Intermediate, Advanced
Price: $240
ANSYS CFD study of virus transport and comfort in a 10×8 m classroom comparing AC and chilled beam ventilation. Room with desks, eight occupants, AC louvers vs. chilled-beam inlets; unstructured mesh refined near jets, walls, and bodies. Steady pressure-based RANS (realizable k-ε), energy on with buoyancy; virus tracked via DPM; appropriate velocity-inlet and pressure-outlet BCs. AC removes particles faster but shows uneven temperatures, while chilled beams improve thermal uniformity with broader mixing that disperses particles more widely.
LES using open-channel in VOF for Multiphase Flow in a U-Shaped Channel
Intermediate, Advanced
Price: $240
LES–VOF simulation of multiphase open-channel flow in a U-shaped channel using ANSYS Fluent. Geometry built in DesignModeler; hexa-dominant ANSYS Meshing with local refinement near the baffle, cylinder array, bend walls, and free surface. Open-channel VOF captures the air–water free surface; LES resolves unsteady vortices (Δt = 0.01 s). Results show interface deformation, outer-wall acceleration, inner-wall separation, and vortex shedding past baffle/cylinders.

This project simulates a shell-and-tube heat exchanger in ANSYS Fluent to analyze coupled flow and heat transfer of water. A pressure-based steady RANS approach with the k–ω SST turbulence model is used, with coupled pressure–velocity solution. The geometry includes shell and tube zones plus a Sterling valve region; a ~2,000,000-cell mesh with inflation layers resolves near-wall gradients. Boundary conditions: velocity inlet (0.3 m/s, 45 °C), pressure outlet, no-slip walls, and cooled valve/tank walls at 13 °C. Results show inlet acceleration, tube-bundle mixing, and progressive cooling, yielding realistic temperature and velocity fields.

This study presents a CFD analysis of a Savonius VAWT using mesh motion in ANSYS Fluent to examine aerodynamic performance and flow characteristics. The rotor geometry was modeled in DesignModeler and meshed with a non-conformal, unstructured grid containing about 5.5 million cells for accurate flow resolution. A transient, pressure-based solver with the RNG k-ε turbulence model was applied; air was used as the working fluid, with rotating and stationary flow zones defined. The simulation revealed pressure variations, wake formation, and vortex structures around the blades, highlighting key aerodynamic behaviors of the Savonius VAWT.

This study simulates the drying seed process in a semi-cylindrical porous domain to analyze airflow, heat, and moisture transfer. The drying seed model uses a half-domain with about 4.5 million tetrahedral cells, including fluid and porous seed zones. A transient, pressure-based solver with the RNG k-ε model and species transport simulates the drying seed. The drying seed simulation shows uniform temperature and decreasing moisture, indicating efficient drying performance.
VTOL Jet Engine Thrust Force Generation, CFD Simulation
Intermediate, Advanced
Price: $150
This report presents a simulation that investigates the thrust generation of a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) jet engine operating in vertical mode. The aerodynamic performance and thrust force produced by a rotating fan within a bent pipe configuration were analyzed. The 3D geometry of the bent pipe with fan was created using ANSYS SpaceClaim software. A high-quality unstructured mesh with boundary layer refinement was generated using ANSYS Meshing software. Appropriate turbulence model settings and boundary conditions were applied to correctly simulate the rotating fan dynamics and the resulting thrust force generation.

This project investigates the crystallization of Loratadine in a dual-inlet nozzle using the Population Balance Model (PBM) in ANSYS Fluent. The study focuses on the effects of mixing and flow dynamics on nucleation and crystal growth. A tetrahedral mesh with 506,677 cells was used for accurate flow and particle tracking. A User-Defined Function (UDF) defined the kinetics of crystal formation based on local conditions. The results show realistic particle size distribution and effective prediction of crystallization behavior.

This product numerically simulates a Battery Pack using ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 3-D model with the Design Modeler software. We mesh the model with ANSYS Meshing software. The battery pack is constructed of six batteries stacked in Series, called 1P6S. We use the Battery Model to define the discharge process of a battery. We use the Multi-Scale Multi-Domain (MSMD) solution method and the NTGK electrochemistry model. The present CFD work is Validated with a reference Article.
