This project investigates the combustion process in a cylindrical chamber with a porous medium using CFD analysis in ANSYS Fluent. The geometry was designed in ANSYS Design Modeler and meshed using ANSYS Meshing, resulting in a high-quality mesh with 815,135 elements. The simulation employs the RNG k-ε turbulence model, Discrete Ordinate (DO) radiation model, and Species Transport model with Volumetric Reactions. Additional submodels for NOx and Soot formation are included. A cylindrical porous zone with 0.5 fluid porosity is incorporated near the inlet. The study demonstrates the impact of the porous medium on flow patterns, temperature distribution, species concentrations, and pollutant formation.

The problem numerically simulates the Electrolysis Stack using ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 3-D model with the Design Modeler software. We mesh the model with ANSYS Meshing software. The mesh is Structured, and the element number equals 279,868. We used the Fuel Cell and Electrolysis model and Electrolysis sub-model to define the electrolysis process. We used the Species model to define H2, O2, and H2O.

In this project, the airflow within a solar indirect dryer is simulated using ANSYS Fluent. The geometry was designed in SpaceClaim, and a mesh with 1,330,000 elements was generated using ANSYS Meshing. In this simulation, the food trays are modeled as porous. DO is chosen for the radiation model. The density model in the material is chosen as incompressible ideal gas.

In this project, we have simulated the performance of a Porous Media Reactor Tube with the presence of catalyst using ANSYS Fluent software. Three-dimensional modeling was done using Design Modeler software. The meshing of the model has been done using ANSYS Meshing software and the element number equals 4,255,042 . To simulate the behavior of molten salt and reactor inlet flow, the multiphase VOF Eulerian model is utilized. The porous media model is employed to impact the flow inside the reactor. For the reactions, the species transport model with two reactions is used.

The problem numerically simulates the particle spraying in continuous fluid ANSYS Fluent software. We design the 3-D model with the Design Modeler software. We mesh the model with ANSYS Meshing software, and the element number equals 127,100. We performed the simulation in Transient (unsteady-state). We use the Discrete Phase Model (DPM) to define particle spraying. We use the User-Defined Function (UDF) to define a drag between particles and fluid. We use the DPM-DRAG Macro for UDF. We compare different Drga Laws, including Spherical, Stokes Cunningham, Non-spherical, and High-Mach.
