The DDPM & DEM All Levels Training Package is MR CFD’s complete path into dense particle flow simulation in ANSYS Fluent, with 9 hands-on projects. It is built for students, engineers, and researchers who want to model real particle-laden flows, from your first dense discrete phase model (DDPM) case to advanced discrete element method (DEM) coupling with moving geometry.
Foundations: DEM and DDPM: Start with four-way coupled DEM modeling of particle flow in an industrial pipe, then compare DDPM and DEM on the same problem in an hourglass simulation.
Particle transport and deposition: Simulate particle accumulation in an elbow bend, water-sand multiphase flow through a T-shape slot, and sedimentation in urban sewer conduits, all with DDPM.
Paper-validated applications: Model proppant transport among multicluster hydraulic fractures and a wire mesh demister, and validate both against published papers.
Moving geometry and industrial equipment: Couple DEM with dynamic mesh in a twin screw extruder. Then simulate a rotary seed dryer with coupled DPM and DEM, where droplet-like seed particles evaporate into water vapor and collide with the walls and with each other, using a hot-air inlet and a pressure outlet.
What’s included:
9 step-by-step ANSYS Fluent projects, from beginner setup to advanced coupling
Nearly 3 hours of video lessons with English audio
Projects across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, including paper-validation cases
Backed by 15 years of MR CFD simulation expertise
Whether you’re preparing a research paper, solving an industrial particle-handling problem, or building in-house CFD skills, this package gives you a structured path from first DDPM setup to complex DEM simulations.
